For the first time ever, Monster Hunter Wilds and Street Fighter 6 are working together to release new cosmetics with fighting game themes, such as an armour set that looks like a formidable warrior. Unsurprisingly, there is a tonne of content to explore in this crossover between two of Capcom’s most popular recent games. This collaboration adds authentic street combat to your hunts with its distinct layered armour move set, intricate motions, and even a brand-new side quest.
Monster Hunter Wilds’ impending crossover is reminiscent of a prior partnership with Street Fighter from Monster Hunter Rise and World. In both cases, you can acquire moves and cosmetics that look like characters from the Street Fighter series, most of which centre on a particular fighter. The characters were Ryu and Sakura in Monster Hunter World and Akuma in Rise.
Monster Hunter Wilds X Street Fighter 6 Release Date

Beginning on May 28, 2025, the Street Fighter 6 partnership with Monster Hunter Wilds will last indefinitely with no end date in sight. This implies that gamers will have an endless amount of time to acquire or buy crossover-related things. This brings back memories of previous Capcom collaborations, such the Dante armour set and special weapon that are still available in Monster Hunter World.
Additionally, a new 8-star Tempered Monster is scheduled to be released to the game today, opening up new equip options. Although it is unclear at the time of writing, it appears likely that this monster is directly related to the collaboration and its new equipment. On May 28, 2025, further features and modifications will be added to the game, changing several gameplay aspects that you will need to load by updating your copy of Wilds.
Returning with Another Layered Armour Set, Akuma

Similar to Monster Hunter Rise, Akuma makes a comeback as a special suit of armour that you may gather to make your hunter look like the Satsui No Hado master. Using numerous systems from Street Fighter 6, Akuma’s evil purpose can be unleashed against the perilous animals of The Forbidden Land. To attack the creatures they seek, players can unleash Drive Impacts, Gou Hadoukens, Gou Shoryukens, and more.
“The Akuma armor set introduced in the Street Fighter 6 collab includes 5 new pieces of armor resembling the character as they appear in Capcom’s newest fighting game. This armor is considered a layer armor as well, meaning you can use its look while wearing different gear sets for different effects.”
By taking part in a new side task included in the collaboration update, you will be able to obtain the new Akuma armour set. In this unique side quest, Ultimate Strength, you locate Akuma and discover how he fights by mastering fighting tactics developed by the itinerant warrior. To begin the mission linked to Akuma’s armour, you must be Hunter Rank 21 or higher, so make sure you complete enough of the game’s narrative to get there.
You can begin the Akuma side quest by going to Quinn, the Vespae Unit Handler, in the Oilwell Basin Base Camp after fulfilling the necessary conditions. You can obtain additional awards associated with Akuma’s entrance in Monster Hunter Wilds by completing the following cooperative arena tasks in addition to the Ultimate Strength mission:
- demonic strength
- True Strength
You get a set of actions that are connected to the Street Fighter character’s moves when you have the Akuma armour set. Using lethal martial arts attacks and special moves, you can execute special combinations that harm enemies by choosing Akuma’s actions from the Item Bar. The weapon you have equipped determines how powerful Akuma’s attacks are; some inflict more damage than others.
Along with other special abilities, equipping the entire armour set of Akuma’s equipment will give you a significant attack increase. The Drive Impact move gains an Offset that can fend off monster assaults, and your Assisted Combos will acquire stun properties while you’re wearing the entire Akuma gear. These extra benefits from their other armour skills are not available to those who are simply wearing the fully layered set for Akuma.
Every Cosmetic That Was Disclosed During the Street Fighter 6 Collaboration

You can obtain unique cosmetics that were also included in the Street Fighter 6 collaboration, in addition to the Akuma armour set. While some products can be obtained for free by doing new tasks, many will be introduced to the in-game store. All of the newly announced cosmetics for the crossover event are included in the table below, along with information on how to purchase them:
Cosmetic | Cosmetic Type | How to Get it |
---|---|---|
Akuma | Full Armor set and Layered Equipment | Complete the “Ultimate Strength” side mission. |
Blanka-Chan | Palico Full Armor set and Layered Equipment | Complete one of the two arena quests – “True Strength” or “Demonic Strength.” |
Akuma | Hunter Profile Background, Nameplate, and Pose | Complete one of the two arena quests – “True Strength” or “Demonic Strength.” |
Chun-Li Outfit | Alma Outfit | Purchase from the in-game Store. |
Cammy Outfit | Alma Outfit | Purchase from the in-game Store. |
The Street Fighter 6 collab’s gestures all have attacking properties, which means they can harm monsters in a manner akin to Akuma’s full armour set actions.
After being added, the Street Fighter 6 collaboration cosmetics will be permanently available in the Store and game, in contrast to the new Blossomdance Festival products that are still available. Take your crew if necessary because you have an infinite amount of time to earn or buy each equipment. I personally play Akuma in Street Fighter games, thus I’ll be working to acquire his entire armour set as quickly as I can.
Even while the special moves from Akuma’s entire armour set are far more powerful than the lesser gestures from the paid collaboration DLC, they are still rather effective. Using the Dark Hado’s ability to subdue even the most formidable Apex Predators, each of Akuma’s Street Fighter 6-inspired attacks gives a fascinating new method to hunt beasts in Monster Hunter Wilds.
