FromSoftware is looking to create new DLC for Armored Core 6
Does a game by FromSoftware actually qualify as such if it lacks DLC? We don’t know the exact answer to that one, but we do know that FromSoftware appears to be preparing additional Armored Core material. That material may be DLC for Armored Core 6, which was published over a year ago or it might indicate that Armored Core 7 is being developed. In any case, it appears that it’s time to go back into the robot.
Almost all of the most recent FromSoftware releases, save Sekiro, have had DLC expansions. Whether it’s the Bloodborne addition Old Hunters or the newly released Elden Ring expansion Shadow of the Erdtree, FromSoftware has established a reputation for adding intricate and challenging DLC to their games. To put it another way, Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon DLC wouldn’t be unusual.
Moreover, DLC references were discovered in Armored Core 6 files last year. A DLC was mentioned in “a handful of lines in Armored Core 6’s message text,” according to dependable insider Zullie. There were other messages shown, including “710000 DLC parts have been deactivated,” “710030 Change in DLC ownership status has altered AC assembly,” and others.
Given the success of Elden Ring DLC and the HIGH demand for anything Bloodborne, the smart decision is to go for the DLC of Armored Core 6.
